We demand-No more 3rd Country detentions in El Salvador
Due process for all of those held in CECOT and under the State of Exception.

On July 24th we protest the three three plane loads of migrants that were transported to El Salvador on March 15, 2025-230 men, and then again on March 31-17 men, and then again on April 13-10 men.

President Bukele had made a deal with President Trump to hold these people in CECOT, a notorious maximum security prison.

Over 230 of these men (women who were mistakenly on those planes were returned to the US) are originally residents of Venezuela.

After being brutally processed into the prison it was discovered that 75% of the men had no criminal records in either the US or Venezuela.  At least 50 of the men were in total compliance with US immigration laws at the time they were detained.  The last any of the families heard from them were calls the night before when they thought they were being sent to Venezuela.

Instead, they were shipped to El Salvador.  There they cannot communicate with their families nor with legal advisors.  They had no due process in US courts.  Their constitutional rights were violated in multiple ways.

Even though the Venezuelans were repatriated on July 18, we protest the fact that they were incarcerated in El Salvador at all.  Additionally, other men that arrived on the same flights are still unaccounted for.  No news articles have definitively identified them, and it appears that at least 40 other individuals have been disappeared into CECOT.  Their lives continue to be in danger and, based on the stories of the freed Venezuelans, it is highly likely that they will be subject to continuous brutal treatment and torture.

We demand that all prisoners in CECOT be allowed to contact their families and legal representation.  We demand that they are treated humanely.  And, we demand that no other individuals be sent to El Salvador by the Trump regime.
